ZAIRAKU
— Where Could You Live? —
You're 18. By the time you're 70,
where could you live? Let's take this seriously, just a little.
What is this app?
ZAIRAKU is a financial education life simulator that visualizes "places you can afford to live" on the map of Japan, in real time, based on your savings. Live through salary, living expenses, rent, side gigs, relocations, job changes, marriage, ceremonies, and illness — month by month. Pick from 9 dream packages (Tokyo high-rise, Kyoto townhouse, Karuizawa villa, Okinawa resort, hometown house, etc.) and find your smartest route.
Features
- Live map of affordability: Pins instantly show what you can buy now, what's a few years out, and what's beyond your current path
- Realistic data: Property prices, salaries, and living costs sourced from Japanese government open data
- Workplace ≠ Residence: Decouple them — try the remote-era "Tokyo salary, countryside life" route
- Real-time progression: 1 real day = 1 in-game month; Pro unlocks 2× and 4× speeds
- Fully offline: No data ever leaves your device, no tracking
Made for
- 20s and 30s thinking vaguely about buying a home
- Parents who want to teach kids about money and life planning
- Schools, cram schools, and local governments seeking financial literacy material
- Anyone who loved SimCity or Princess Maker
